Pit and Fissure Sealants

Sealants protect pitted and grooved surfaces of teeth that are often difficult to clean even with proper brushing and flossing. Although any teeth with deep pits and grooves are candidates for sealants, they are most commonly placed on the child’s six-year molars and twelve-year molars to reduce the risk of decay.
