Restorative Dental Treatments
FILLINGS
Unless specific conditions call for other materials, composite resin materials will be used to restore your child’s decayed or injured teeth. Composite resin materials are similar in color and texture to the natural teeth, and with proper care, they can last a long time.
CROWNS
When a cavity is so large or involves multiple surfaces of a tooth that it cannot be restored with a composite filling, a stainless steel crown is recommended. When a stainless steel crown is placed on a tooth, it provides a full-coverage protection for a tooth and prevents potential contamination or fracture. Therefore, when indicated, stainless steel crowns are longest-lasting, most definitive treatment option.
