Tooth Extraction
Extraction may be necessary if the tooth
- cannot be restored due to a large decay
- is infected and potentially cause harm to the underlying permanent tooth or to your child’s general health
- is displaced due to injury and interferes with your child’s bite or development of underlying permanent tooth
- is identified as a supernumerary (“extra”) tooth and may interfere with eruption of normal permanent teeth
Space Maintenance may be necessary following an extraction procedure to prevent space loss. (Please refer to Space Maintenance section for details)
